Year 9 Dance class performs Samoan Sasā to Year 9 Assembly!
Students were treated to the sights, sounds, and beats of the Pacific earlier this week.
Our Year 9 Dance class looked amazing and did a fantastic job, with their synchronization, enthusiasm, and energy.
The Sasā is a Samoan dance that can be performed by both males and females, usually in a seated position. Hand movements depict everyday life, such as replicating the movement of fish in the water, birds in flight, paddling a waka, cooking or even housework!
Well done to all involved, and we can’t wait to see the next performance.
