NZSS Beach Volleyball

Green Bay High School entered a team into the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Beach Volleyball Championships, held at Mount Maunganui recently.

Noah Saunders (Year 13) and Mat Biro (Year 12) were selected as the first team to represent GBHS in this fast-paced sport.

Across the three days, they had five wins and two losses. Finishing 3rd place in Silver of Div 1.

On the final day, Noah was asked to referee both the Year 11 finals Boys' and Girls' games, as well as 3rd/4th place for Year 11 Boys – this is a great credit to him to be selected (as adults were refereeing other finals).

GBHS's Sports Dept wishes to say a big "Thank You" to Noah's mum, Caroline Saunders, for taking them down and managing the team.
