NZ Diving Representative

Luka Guthrie (Yr 11) is diving into the deep end of international competition.

Diving NZ has selected 5 female and 5 male divers to represent NZ at Junior Elite level competitions in Europe: United Kingdom (Plymouth), Germany (Dresden) and Norway (Bergenand) – Luka is one of these!

The Auckland Diving Champs, held earlier in the year, gives Auckland divers the chance to prepare for Regional and International events. Luka placed 1st in the Open Women's platform event: 10m, 7.5m and 5m boards.

These results put Luka into a good space for the upcoming North Island Champs held in Hamilton next month, competing with representatives from North Harbour, Diving Waitakere, Hamilton, and Wellington.

Regional competitions provide Luka with the confidence and ability to become more consistent in the dives she will be competing in on an international level.

Luka will be taking part in the Europe competition in April.
