Students at Green Bay High School are fortunate to have the support of Senior students, who volunteer their time to tutor those who wish for a bit of extra help in achieving their goals.
If you would like to be tutored, or be a tutor, simply head to student reception and fill in one of the 'Tutor Cards' or click on the relevant links below:

Application for Peer Tutoring (CLICK HERE)

This is an important support structure for students at Green Bay High School. It relies upon the goodwill of students who are willing to offer their time to help you. To that end, there are a few expectations:

  • As a tutee, you need to turn up to all arranged tutoring lessons and have an idea of the subject matter you would like to go over with your tutor.
  • Your tutor will support you, but it's up to you to do the work!
  • Respect is a Green Bay High School value, and it is expected that you demonstrate this in all of your interactions.
  • Once you are paired with with your tutor, it will be your responsibility to set up a time and place which suits you both, and work out what you specifically need help with.
  • Your tutor sessions can be as often as you need or want, its up to you. Have fun!

    Becoming a peer tutor has benefits!

  • Improve your tutoring/explaining skills and gain experience
  • An example of school service to mention when you apply for school leadership positions or groups
  • Increase your understanding of the content tutored
  • We may be giving out house points to tutors so its an excellent way to support your house
  • A chance to make a positive difference and genuinely help someone out!

Wellbeing is an important part of what we do at Green Bay High School. Our aim is to improve a student’s well being, which in turn reduces barriers to a student’s academic progress, and other life goals.
