Highlights have included our Migrant and Whānau Hui, the Junior Arts Showcase, exciting sports tournaments, and a trip to Christchurch for our budding scientists. An amazing coincidence for our scientists was bumping into GBHS Alumni Morgane Merien who was a student at Green Bay High School from 2009 to 2013 and has gone on to get a PhD in Entomology at the University of Auckland. Morgane is currently working as a curator and Science communicator for the Canterbury Museum. It has been wonderful to see our junior students wholeheartedly engaging in all these opportunities, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and passion for learning. I am really proud of them. Thank you to all staff, students, and whānau who have contributed to making these events a success. Your support and involvement makes all the difference to the experiences we offer at school. Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend ahead!
