The N1 exam is the highest level of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Tests (JLPT), assessing a person's ability to understand Japanese used in a wide variety of circumstances. The C1 level signifies advanced proficiency. Marina says she would especially like to thank her Japanese language teacher, Beate Starke, for her ongoing encouragement and the opportunity to take the test.
