Celebrating artistic talent within West Auckland high schools, each school was invited to nominate an artwork by a top Year 13 Art student, with finalist works exhibited in 'Currents 2024'. This year’s judge is University of Auckland's Head of School at Te Waka Tūhura Elam School of Fine Arts and Design, Fiona Jack. The First Prize winner, funded by Lopdell Trust, is awarded $1,000 to assist the winner with furthering their art practice. All finalists also receive a $100 voucher kindly donated by Gordon Harris. The overall winner will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at 2pm on 30 November 2024. Now open! Be sure to head along and check it out - held at Te Uru until Sunday 1 December 2024.
