The GBHS long …' --- Getting Ready for Term 4 Uniform, Attendance, Cellphone reminders ![new admin](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/user/pages/04.news/term-3-2026/getting-ready-for-term-4/2_new%20admin.jpg "new admin") # Getting Ready for Term 4 Tuesday, 22nd September 2026 at 9:35am #### A few reminders: **Uniform** Students in Years 9–12 are expected to wear the correct school [uniform](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/enrolment/uniform) each day. Our uniform includes a wide range of items, and support is available for students who need to borrow uniform items. - The GBHS short skirt has the school logo on the bottom hem. - The GBHS long skirt does not have a split. - Socks must be plain black. - Any undershirts must be white. - A full description of uniform requirements is available on the school website. **Cellphones** If a student chooses to bring a cellphone to school: - It must be switched off and in their bag by the start of Period 1. - It must remain in their bag until the end of Period 5. - Phones must be kept in the student’s own school bag. - Phones should not be connected to smartwatches. - Accessories such as earbuds, AirPods, or headphones must also remain in bags during the school day. Phones are brought to school at the student’s own risk. The school is not responsible for loss or damage. Students with approved exemptions will be issued a physical pass by Deputy Principal Sandy Begg, and this will be recorded on KAMAR. **Support** If a student needs support with settling back into school, our [pastoral and guidance teams](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/student-life/wellbeing-and-support) are available. Families are welcome to make contact if they have any concerns. **Attendance** Regular attendance is important in supporting student learning and wellbeing.
