While people come and go, the land remains. When we act as kaitiaki and care for and protect our land, we uphold the mana of our ancestors and remember the struggles of those who came before us. The whenua (land) has existed long before us and will continue to exist far beyond each of our individual lives. - How does this whakataukī inspire you? - Your writing can be creative or factual/persuasive **CATEGORIES:** - Jnr Primary (Yrs 1-3) up to 200 words - Snr Primary (Yrs 4-6) up to 300 words - Intermediate (Yrs 7-8) up to 500 words - Jnr Secondary (Yrs 9-10) up to 750 words - Snr Secondary (Yrs 11-13) up to 1000 words All entries must be in PDF format and include Name, Year level and School. **Entries close: 1 November 2024**Please send entries to: This competition is open to all year levels and will involve local primary and intermediate schools within our Kōtuitui.
