Green Bay High School is proud to be part of the Auckland Schools' Teacher Training Programme (ASTTP), in partnership with the University of Waikato.This hands-on programme accelerates learning as teachers train in a school environment while completing their qualifications. Our highly qualified teachers act as mentors allowing trainee teachers a rewarding and enriching learning journey as they complete their teaching qualification. - The programme is completed in one year, spent with experienced mentors at GBHS - and is an excellent opportunity for people in our local community who are passionate about teaching as a career - Trainee teachers will also attend remote lectures and complete assignments for the University of Waikato For more information check out Scholarships are available for 2025, which will cover the cost of the University fees and a monetary stipend for the year (amount to be confirmed) Applications in all subject areas are welcome for 2025.
