Our aim is to improve a student’s well being, which in turn reduces barriers to a student’s academic progress, and other life goals. Green Bay High School's Pastoral Care team, overseen by Senior Management, is committed to achieving this by working towards a socially healthy and emotionally safe school. Our school's Counselling team work alongside a team of 24/7 Youth Workers. [Melissa Bridle](mailto:melissa.bridle@greenbayhigh.school.nz) is our 24/7 Team Leader. 24/7 Youth Workers provide further support to students through positive role-modeling, mentoring, and helping our young people navigate healthy choices. At the face of our Student Reception area is [Helen Wigham](mailto:helen.wigham@greenbayhigh.school.nz) (ph: 817-8173 ext 205). Our School Nursing team works within the Student Reception area, and comprises of Registered Nurses. Our Health Care team can be contacted via email or phone: 817-8173 ext 253. Our Attendance Officer is [Julie Southey](mailto:julie.southey@greenbayhigh.school.nz) (ph: 817-8173 ext 234). Please contact Julie to report student absences, so that attendance can be marked accurately. Learning Support: [Sarah Barrett-Hamilton](mailto:sarah.barrett-hamilton@greenbayhigh.school.nz) is our SENCO (Special Education Needs Coordinator) who works closely with Learning Support Coordinators, [Kim Vaigalu](mailto:kim.vaigalu@greenbayhigh.school.nz) (Learning Support) and [Clare Cheetham](mailto:clare.cheetham@greenbayhigh.school.nz) (Behaviour Support) to support the Pastoral and Academic teams within our school, alongside students, whānau, and teaching staff, to help ensure that individual student’s learning and/or behaviour needs are met.
