The position of School Receptionist welcomes and greets parents, whānau, caregivers and others to the school. It is a crucial role and one that sets the 'tone' and first impressions in person and on the phone. This role is job-share where you will work three consecutive days, Monday to Wednesday 8.00am – 4.00pm. You will work the school terms only and have the holidays free. In between answering calls, emails, and greeting people, you will manage the office runners and help with general administrative tasks. You will be an energetic positive person who has a genuine empathy and understanding of teenagers. • Office administrative and reception experience. • Previous experience in a in a school environment viewed favourably. • Computer savvy with an ability to learn new systems and processes. • Knowledge of KAMAR viewed favourably. • Confident with Google and or Microsoft applications. • Great communicator. • A team player who can also work independently. The terms and conditions of employment will be those set out in the [Support Staff in School Collective Agreement](https://www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements/support-staff-in-schools-collective-agreement). This role is classified under the Vulnerable Children Act (2014) and as such the appointment will be subject to a satisfactory police vetting check.
