To achieve this, we have identified four key objectives: - Develop self-awareness and personal identity. - Explore career options and pathways. - Build employability skills and financial literacy. - Learn to make informed decisions about future education and employment. Our Career Education plan comprises four key components: 1. The plan aims to provide students with relevant and up-to-date career information and guidance. 2. Over a five-year period, students will develop individual career portfolios in Career Central to assist them to explore their career options and pathways. 3. In the senior school, work-integrated learning opportunities provide students with real-life work experience, which aids in the development of employability skills and financial literacy. 4. Industry and community partnerships are formed to expose students to a range of career options and pathways. Our whole-school Career Education plan is a collaborative and inclusive approach that involves all staff and stakeholders. Throughout the year students are encouraged to attend events such as the [Careers Out West ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S81YRMSTopI) expo at the Trust Stadium (9am - 3pm) on 6 May 2026; and our weekly Kawhe & Kōrero sessions in E3 at lunchtime where we invite guest speakers to come and talk about their career journeys. This term, an extended form time will be set aside for all students to complete the first module of their career portfolio in Career Central.
