Students have been learning about stratification (layering) in the forest. Bus loads of young botanists will be taken under the Arataki Ranger's wings, following their expert guidance and discovering a wide range of trees and plants present in the forest - discovering the special adaptations that enable these plants to survive and flourish. As part of their assessment, students took ample notes and collected a range of data, enabling them to complete their report. Everyone had an enjoyable day. Feedback received from one of the Rangers was: "One of the best groups we've ever had." Amazing!
