Fukuoka (one of Auckland’s sister cities) gifted a Japanese garden to our city. It is located on the corner of the Auckland Zoo car park, as you are walking into Western Springs. A group of volunteers meet every season for a working bee, and anyone is welcome. It is a fantastic opportunity for students (and others) to practice using Japanese, and to have a mini Japanese experience right here in NZ. Spring Working Bee: 🌸Saturday 6th September 2025 🌸9am-12 noon. 🌸Bring: Something for a shared morning tea, appropriate shoes, gardening gloves, water, and any gardening tools if you have them. 🌸No gardening experience is needed - many hands make light work For more details, contact Ms. Tankard in D8, or follow [The Fukuoka Garden](https://www.facebook.com/p/The-Fukuoka-Garden-100079679300841/) on Facebook.
