Year 13 Business Studies students from GBHS participated in the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) pitches earlier this week. Similar to a 'Dragon's Den' type scenario, the pitch requires student-led business teams to present a 5-minute presentation on their product/service idea to a panel of judges from the local business community, followed by a 5-minute Q & A session. Our teams were so relieved when this nerve-wracking experience was over but also, deservedly, proud. Ka pai! The Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) is an opportunity for students to experience the business world. YES provides support and solutions to help students set up and run a real business by creating their own product and getting it onto the Market. As part of the YES programme 03BUS students learn about business planning and operations, developing a range of personal and business skills, and consult with and create networks in their community.
