We are supported by keen teaching staff and a large number of volunteers to provide the coaching and skills our students need to succeed. Our relationships with local sports clubs help us to cater for all sporting interests. Students are notified of these through daily notices and social media. Sports uniforms are provided to the students on a loan basis and are to be returned at the end of their season. In most cases students just need to turn up with the right footwear. Football, rugby, hockey and basketball players are required to bring their own protective equipment and require navy shorts and socks which can be purchased from the sports department. Specialist sports require students to have their own gear. **Additional Opportunities**Morning training sessions are open to any student that wishes to improve their general fitness and sporting ability. Changing rooms and shower facilities are open for students afterwards. **Costs**All sports teams are charged fees to help cover costs of competition entries, transport and uniform costs. These costs range depending on the sport. Some teams get the chance to compete at tournament weeks which incur extra costs – which can be brought down with fundraising.
