The NCEA Internal Assessment (Biology 2.6) is to be completed in term 1 and is worth 4 NCEA level 2 credits, which also counts towards Merit/Excellence endorsement in Year 12 Biology. Through interesting talks and guided walks from the Arataki Rangers, students learnt about the adaptations plants have to be able to thrive in the Waitakere Forest as well as the interdependency of species with each other. In addition, they were able to see many examples of the wildlife they could hear - the cicadas were putting on a fine (noisy) show!
