The 4-day nationwide competition (14th-17th March) at Mount Maunganui saw 48 clubs competing. As prerequisites to competing, entrants had to complete a minimum of 20 volunteering hours as a surf lifeguard at Piha - however our terrific trio have well and truly succeeded in this requirement and are now actively upskilling their lifeguard qualifications. **Isaac Gear:**• 2nd place: Run, Swim, Run • 3rd place: U17 Ironman • 3rd place: U17 Board Rescue • 4th place: U17 Surf Race **Olivia Tukia:**• 2nd place: U19 Beach Sprints • 3rd place: U19 Ironwoman • 3rd place: U19 Board Rescue • 4th place: U19 Board Race **Illinois Cooney:**Had a really great run at his first senior surf lifesaving nationals, making it into the finals and placing 8th in the Ski Relay, with Isaac.
