(Socks are **not** to be worn with sandals). **Prefer to wear shoes and socks?** School shoes must be flat, plain black, with black soles and black laces. (No boots or high-top footwear). Socks must be plain black (no logo) and ankle length. **Need fresh uniform?** - Uniform items are to be purchased from [Argyle](https://www.argyleonline.co.nz), our official uniform supplier - either online or in store. These items must be worn as purchased without significant alteration or adaptation. - For more information regarding Green Bay High School uniform requirements and purchasing, please click [HERE](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/enrolment/uniform). **The NZ Cancer Society recommends we:** - Slop on some broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen of at least SPF30. Apply at least 20mins before going outdoors so it can be absorbed into the skin. Cover all exposed skin - remember ears, feet, backs of knees and hands. Sunscreen should be stored in a cool, dark place. - Slap on a hat. A hat is a very important part of sunscreen protection. Hats should shade the face; bucket hats with a deep crown and broad brim are ideal as part of the GBHS uniform. Click **[HERE](https://www.argyleonline.co.nz/shop/auckland/green-bay-high-school-879/new-bucket-hat-9819)** to order yours today! Bucket hats also provide significant protection for the eyes and children should be encouraged to wear one while outside. **Click on the following links for more tips on how to be SunSmart:** - - 20th October 2026 at 10:50am ![PSLS exchange 2027](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/images/4/6/8/4/c/4684c8946945adf749026b788af2dfe2e8a38961-jnr-language-showcase.jpg "PSLS exchange 2027") Jnr Language Showcase Myths and Legends come to life! 20th October 2026 at 8:30am [Jnr Language Showcase Myths and Legends come to life! 20th October 2026 at 8:30…](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/news/term-4-2026/jnr-language-showcase) ![niue](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/images/2/f/b/8/c/2fb8cc7d5865fa9f4932224d431d9731d50b014b-niue-2026.jpg "niue") Niue Language Week 18 - 24 October 2026 20th October 2026 at 8:10am [Niue Language Week 18 - 24 October 2026 20th October 2026 at 8:10am](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/news/term-4-2026/niue-language-week) ![PSLS exchange 2027](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/images/c/f/d/a/f/cfdaf0baa8c2034647fbe96ab42a11a564ae26ce-huntington-2027.jpg "PSLS exchange 2027") Piha SLSC 2027 Huntington Beach Junior Guard Exchange 20th October 2026 at 7:30am [Piha SLSC 2027 Huntington Beach Junior Guard Exchange 20th October 2026 at 7:30…](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/news/term-4-2026/piha-slsc) ![keeping safe](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/images/1/2/f/6/f/12f6f602a5f50e9c946e97d43e23a27af5f555ec-keeping-our-community-safe2x.jpg "keeping safe") Stranger Danger (16/10/2026) Keeping our community safe 16th October 2026 at 1:40pm [Stranger Danger (16/10/2026) Keeping our community safe 16th October 2026 at 1:…](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/news/term-4-2026/stranger-danger-16-10-2026) ![oceania 2026](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/images/3/3/d/6/d/33d6d9beb395bc42334ac3cf522513f2d4589e4f-aiden-oceania-2026.jpg "oceania 2026") Orienteering Championships Oceania + Australian Schools Comps 16th October 2026 at 10:30am [Orienteering Championships Oceania + Australian Schools Comps 16th October 2026…](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/news/term-4-2026/orienteering-championships) ![Don Oliver Awards 2026](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/images/3/8/5/4/f/3854f4dfb9c42fd81517ae5b639cfbcc3997048c-don-oliver-awards.jpg "Don Oliver Awards 2026") Youth Sport Awards Don Oliver Foundation 16th October 2026 at 10:20am [Youth Sport Awards Don Oliver Foundation 16th October 2026 at 10:20am](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/news/term-4-2026/youth-sport-awards) ![Belonging matters](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/images/5/f/9/a/0/5f9a085c7dbc8cdb80d2299fca054035539ebdc8-belonging-matters.jpg "Belonging matters") Belonging Matters Mental Health Week 16th October 2026 at 10:05am [Belonging Matters Mental Health Week 16th October 2026 at 10:05am](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/news/term-4-2026/belonging-matters) ![Elias SUSO 2026](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/images/d/6/3/6/a/d636a6883a61787f0f18dac57c16ff9708065e4c-elias-suso.jpg "Elias SUSO 2026") Elias Hunt (Yr 12) SUSO Composition Winner 16th October 2026 at 9:50am [Elias Hunt (Yr 12) SUSO Composition Winner 16th October 2026 at 9:50am](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/news/term-4-2026/elias-hunt-yr-12) ![Spanish trip 2026](https://greenbayhigh.school.nz/images/6/e/f/0/d/6ef0d40e731ace98d701eb832d66ed510e8bc023-spanish-trip-2026.jpg "Spanish trip 2026") SPAIN Trip!
