Akonga Māori Hui

He waka eke noa: We are all in this together Our young rangatahi took part in a Akonga Māori Hui on Wednesday (28 September) to come together and learn the school haka, tutored by past pupil Tyler Hireme (He Taonga Māori honours recipient (2021, 2022)). Students were also part of a planning group for GBHS's Māori student komiti, discussing the possibility of introducing new concepts in 2023 such as a Whānau class and Mana Māori group.
